1Introduction

RadiusMapper ("we," "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our website, API, and related services (the "Service").

By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information as described here.

2Information We Collect

Information you provide

  • Account information (name, email address, password)
  • Billing information (payment method, billing address) — processed by Stripe; we do not store full card details
  • Profile information (company, job title) if you choose to provide it
  • Communication preferences

Usage data we collect automatically

  • Addresses and locations you search for within the Service
  • Device information (IP address, browser type, operating system)
  • Usage patterns and interaction data
  • API request metadata and performance metrics
  • Log files and error reports

Cookies and tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in and understand how the Service is used. You can configure your browser to refuse cookies or alert you when one is set; some features may not work without them.

3How We Use Your Information

We use collected information to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the Service
  • Process transactions and manage your account
  • Improve the accuracy of our mapping and routing
  • Respond to support requests and inquiries
  • Send technical notices, security alerts, and account updates
  • Monitor for abuse and enforce our Terms
  • Comply with legal obligations

4Sharing and Disclosure

We share information only with:

  • Service providers that operate parts of the Service on our behalf — notably Stripe (billing), Mapbox (geocoding and routing), and Google Cloud (hosting)
  • Analytics providers who help us understand how the Service is used
  • Law enforcement or regulators when required by law or to protect our rights

We do not sell your personal information. We may share aggregated, de-identified data that cannot reasonably be used to identify you.

5Data Security

We apply technical and organizational measures to protect your information:

  • Encryption of data in transit (HTTPS) and at rest
  • Scoped access controls and authentication for administrative systems
  • Regular dependency and configuration review
  • Secure backup and recovery procedures

No system is perfectly secure. If we become aware of a breach that affects your data, we will notify you in accordance with applicable law.

6Data Retention

We retain different categories of data for different periods:

  • Account information — while your account is active, plus up to 30 days after deletion
  • Saved searches and shared maps — up to 12 months from creation, after which they are deleted automatically
  • Product-usage and analytics events — while your account is active and for as long as reasonably necessary to improve the Service and detect abuse
  • Billing and invoice records — 7 years (as required by tax and accounting laws)
  • Support correspondence — 24 months after the conversation ends

When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal information within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or for fraud prevention. We may retain de-identified data (which cannot reasonably be linked back to you) indefinitely.

7Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete information
  • Request deletion of your personal data
  • Object to or restrict certain processing
  • Receive your data in a portable format
  • Opt out of marketing communications
  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
  • Lodge a complaint with a data-protection authority

To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected]. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

8European & UK Residents (GDPR)

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, RadiusMapper is the "data controller" for personal information you provide to us directly, and a "data processor" for any end-user data you process through our Service.

Our legal bases for processing

  • Contract — to provide and operate the Service you subscribed to (Article 6(1)(b))
  • Legitimate interests — to secure the Service, prevent abuse, measure usage, and improve our product, balanced against your rights (Article 6(1)(f))
  • Consent — for optional marketing communications and non-essential cookies, which you can withdraw at any time (Article 6(1)(a))
  • Legal obligation — to comply with tax, accounting, and other applicable laws (Article 6(1)(c))

International transfers

When we transfer personal data out of the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission (and the UK Addendum where applicable), together with supplementary measures where necessary.

Complaints

You have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. We ask that you contact us first so we can try to resolve the issue.

9California Residents (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have specific rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the CPRA. The categories of personal information described in Section 2 reflect what we collect from and about you.

Your California rights

  • The right to know what personal information we collect, use, disclose, and retain
  • The right to delete personal information we've collected, subject to legal exceptions
  • The right to correct inaccurate personal information
  • The right to data portability
  • The right to limit our use and disclosure of sensitive personal information
  • The right to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information
  • The right to non-discrimination for exercising any of these rights

Sale and sharing of personal information

We do not sell personal information for money, and we do not "share" personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined under the CCPA.

How to exercise your rights

Email [email protected]. You may also use an authorized agent; we will require written proof of the agent's authorization and may verify your identity directly.

10International Data Transfers

Our servers are operated from the United States. If you access the Service from outside the US, your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the US, which may have different data-protection laws than your country of residence. For transfers from the EEA, UK, and Switzerland we rely on the safeguards described in Section 8.

11Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If we learn that we've collected data from a child under 13, we'll delete it. Parents or guardians who believe we may have collected information about their child may contact us at [email protected].

12Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We'll post the revised policy on this page and update the "Last updated" date above. We recommend reviewing it periodically. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-product notice where practical.
